Communities of Makera and Hayin Taro Taro Rigasa in Igabi Local government of Kaduna State have called on the State nd the Local government council to expedite action to Construct the road and the Bridge linking the community with other part of Rigasa to ease transportation difficulties among the people.
Speaking on the suffering witnessed as a result of the bad state of the road, The Secretary Makera Development Forum Comrade Muhammad Idris said that commerce, transportation and communication had been affected adversely due to the deplorable nature of the road especially at time of rainy season.
He added that they were bothered by the situation because the road is the only link connecting their community to the part of Rigasa.
He said, “The state of the road is not encouraging the economy, transportation and communication among the people of Makera and Hayin Taro taro.
Comrade Muhammad Idris said if the road is fixed, it will make transportation and communication very easy among the people that living in the area.
Speaking on the nature of the road some residents of the area expressed dismay over the condition of the road and appealed on the Authority concern to intervene.
They however said during the rainy season due to the absent of the Bridge many people have lost their lives and properties to the flooding occured almost every year.
When contacted the council chairman igabi local government Alhaji Jabir khamis said the council was aware about the situation and the road project would soon commences as earmarked in this years council budget.
