Aminu Waziri Tambuwal takes over as the interim chairman of the (NGF).

   

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal takes over as the interim chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF).

   A statement by the Director, Media and Public Affairs of the forum, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, noted that the outgone chairman of NGF and governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, transferred power of the NGF to Tambuwal at the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.

    The statement stated that Tambuwal has served meritoriously and harmoniously as vice chairman of the Forum under Dr. Fayemi in the last four years.

    It could be recalled that Governor Fayemi was elected as the president of the Forum of Regional and State Governments in Saidia in the state of Casablanca in Morocco few weeks ago.

    Following the development, governor Tambuwal will take charge until May 2023 when a proper election will be conducted among the governors.
