Nigeria can generate twenty million dollars from the launch of one satellite if it develops its Assembly, Integration and Testing Laboratory.
The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency Dr. Halilu Shaba, told Newsmen in Abuja that the organisation is confident that the 25-year Space Policy Roadmap can be achieved.
He observed that part of the content, which included launching satellites into orbit from Nigerian soil, was crucial to the development of space science and technology.
Shaba noted that achieving such a facility was a humongous project that required huge resources, which the yearly budgetary allocations of the agency could barely handle.
